How to find your right shade of foundation?

Take this quiz and you will know

STEP 1: Veins Test

Check the color of your veins. You can do this on your wrists. Remember to do this method under natural light.

 

  • If your veins look blue or purplish under natural light, your skin undertone is categorized as cool.
  • If your veins look bluish-green or green hue, your skin undertone is categorized as warm.
  • If your veins appears colorless/match your skin color or you can’t tell, then your undertone is likely categorized as a neutral.

 

STEP 2: Gold or Silver Jewelry Test

Take a look at your wardrobe and see what colors you find yourself keep buying or keep wearing.
  • If your skin looks best with yellow gold, then you have warm or olive undertone
  • If your skin looks best in Silver/Platinum/Rose Gold, then you have cool undertone
  • If you find that your skin looks best with both gold and silver, then you have a neutral undertone

STEP 3: Now its time to determine your undertone

  • If you have a cool undertone then you need pink foundations and you need to avoid yellowish foundation and pick a foundation with a red, rose or blue base
  • If you have a warm undertone then you have a yellow undertone and need to get yellowish foundation
  • If you have a neutral undertone then you need to avoid yellow or pinkish foundation and stick with a foundation with a peach base or a combination base
  • If you have an olive undertone, then you have a slightly golden undertone and need to avoid yellow foundation
